WPYW’s ‘YouthQuake’ set to return

The Workers’ Party Youth Wing’s “YouthQuake” is set to return on the coming Saturday on 16 January 2009.

According to the WPYW’s website, this forum, dubbed “YQ6″ as it the sixth of a series of “YouthQuake” forums, is entitled “The Influence of Online Media on Singaporean Youths”.

A panel of four students, all below the age of 25, will be addressing the audience.

They are three undergraduates from each of Singapore’s three universities – NTU, NUS and SMU – as well as a Temasek Polytechnic undergraduate.

Previously, the WPYW’s five “YouthQuake” topics, in chronological order, were voting age, transport, environment, women and education.

The event will be held at the Workers’ Party’s headquarters at 216-G Syed Alwi Road and will begin at 2.30 pm.
